Qatar Airways, a multiple award-winning airline is celebrating the launch of non-stop service to Chiang Mai, Thailand. Qatar Airways’ first flight to Chiang Mai was greeted with a traditional water cannon salute on 13th December 2017. The latest service is a seasonal service and Qatar Airways will operate four weekly flights from Doha to Chiang Mai. The direct flight to Chiang Mai takes flight time of six hours approximately.

The latest service will enhance the existing relations between Qatar and Thailand to next level. With the latest addition, the airline reaches a network of four destinations in Thailand. After the successful launch of Chiang Mai flights, the airline has announced launch of flights to Pattaya in January 2018.

The airline will operate its flights to Chiang Mai using an Airbus A330-200 aircraft. The aircraft will have 24 seats in business class and 236 in economy class. The seasonal service to Chiang Mai is opoerational till May 2018. It will resume again for winter 2018 i.e. in October 2018.
On this occasion H.E. Mr. Akbar Al Baker said: “With the choice of four flights a week, passengers travelling from Chiang Mai are now connected seamlessly to more than 150 destinations, via our state-of-the-art hub in Doha. Next year we will add a fifth Thai destination to our network when we expand our services to include Pattaya, starting January 28, 2018.”
