Qatar Airways is continuing its ambitious network expansion plans by adding St. Petersburg, Russia to its network. According to the reports, the award-winning airline will commence daily service from Doha to St. Petersburg, starting from 19 December 2017. Qatar Airways will operate the Doha St. Petersburg route using a two-class configured Airbus A320 aircraft featuring 12 flatbed seats in Business Class and 120 Economy Class seats.
St. Petersburg is the cultural capital of Russia. St. Petersburg, City of the Tsars is home to numerous major attractions and dotted with numerous canals. Travelers can explore from incredible art collections to internationally-recognized historic buildings. Its elegant beauty and rich history, city attracts both tourist and business travelers alike.

On the addition of Russian destination, Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive, His Excellency Mr. Akbar Al Baker, commented: “St. Petersburg is a very welcome addition to the Qatar Airways route map, and clearly shows the importance of the Russian market to us. There is enormous potential for extending our reach in Russia, thanks to its huge population and economic significance. It also offers a truly unique experience for visitors, especially to St. Petersburg, with its incredible Imperial history as the former Russian capital.
