All the renowned airlines (such as Emirates, Qatar Airways, Saudi Arabian Airlines, Royal Jordanian, and to name few airlines) from around the world gathered at Long Beach, California, for the announcement of the aviation industry’s most anticipated honor, the Official Airline Ratings, the first airline rating program based solely on verified & certified passenger feedback.
On September 25th, APEX (The Airline Passenger Experience Association), which is the only non-profit membership trade association dedicated to improving the entire airline passenger experience, announced the airlines honored with four and five-star Official Airline Ratings.
According to the reports, at the Global APEX Awards, Royal Jordanian Airlines was awarded the honors of “2018 Four-Star Major Regional Airline”. However, RJ competed with 470 other airlines, and the voting period commenced last November and ended in July. Only 14% of competing for four-star airlines received enough votes to qualify for the final stage.
First, passengers rated their overall flight experience and then were given the opportunity to provide ratings in five subcategories: Cabin service, seat comfort, food and beverage, entertainment, and Wi-Fi.
This year, APEX awards included only 14 percent of worldwide airlines that received sufficient votes for the 2018 Four Star status and another 12 percent of worldwide airlines that received sufficient votes for 2018 Five Star status.
